Teer is a popular traditional archery-based game predominantly played in the Indian state of Meghalaya. Unlike conventional lotteries, Teer's results are based on the number of arrows shot by archers hitting a target in two distinct rounds, known as the 'First House' and 'Second House'. Players place bets by predicting the last two digits (from 00 to 99) of the total number of arrows that hit the target in each house. It's a game deeply rooted in local culture and tradition.

How Teer Numbers are Derived

The 'Teer number' for each house (First and Second) is determined by taking the last two digits of the total count of arrows that successfully hit the target. For instance, if 1253 arrows hit the target in the First House, the Teer number for that house would be 53. Similarly, for the Second House, the last two digits of its total hits become the result. This simple mechanism forms the core of the game, making the prediction of these two-digit numbers the central challenge for participants.

Understanding Multipliers & Winnings

Winnings in Teer are determined by 'multipliers' which vary for the First and Second Houses. These multipliers represent how much money is won for every unit of currency (e.g., rupee or dollar) placed as a bet if the prediction is correct. For example:

• If the First House multiplier is 80x, a $10 bet on a correct First House prediction yields $800.
• If the Second House multiplier is 70x, a $10 bet on a correct Second House prediction yields $700.
